Comprehensive Labor Relations Professional Program

The Comprehensive Labor Relations Professional Program is a three (3) day labor management conference where participants learn, experience and understand the full scope of labor relations. The CLRPP conference covers the beginning of the labor-management relationship, including organizing drives, elections and Management and Union unfair labor practices. The program then provides detailed information on negotiating collective bargaining agreements, including persuasive techniques and presenting proposals, as well as day-to-day administration of a contract such as grievance handling. Finally, arbitration case studies of discipline/discharge will be reviewed and a mock arbitration hearing will occur.

Also, due to the restriction of only 25 attendees, participants engage in interactive discussions of real life situations, how to handle issues as they arise, and how to turn issues into opportunities. The instructor fosters an environment open to Q&A's and exchanging ideas among participants, including views from both Management and Union perspectives.
